ACTIVITIES

Activities provides opportunities through different venues for addicts to come together and celebrate our freedom from active addiction. Based on our experience, the program of Narcotics Anonymous teaches us that we can regain joy and happiness in our lives and interact socially with one another in a positive and respectful manner.

HOSPITALS AND INSTITUTIONS

The purpose of an H&I meeting is to carry the NA message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings. H&I meetings or presentations, except for those in longer term facilities, are intended to simply introduce those attending to some of the basics of the NA program. H&I meetings are held in hospitals, forensic units, detox centers, treatment facilities, recovery houses and correctional facilities.
The following is a list of facilities that are visited by Beach Area H&I panels:
- County Mental Health
- Family Foundations
- McDonald Center
- Veterans Administration Hospital
If you would like to volunteer for H&I service, please contact

OUTREACH

Outreach is simply a broad application of our Twelfth Step. They maintain the link between the groups and the area service committee so that no group may feel alone or isolated. They help groups until they become better able to meet their own needs and eventually may become self-supporting.
Outreach organizes road trips to groups in need of support, helps register groups with NA World Services and gathers information to publish the area meeting schedules.
Outreach also conducts orientations for new GSRs attending the Beach Area Service Committee meeting for the first time so they may better understand their vital role in the service structure.
Currently, there is no Outreach Chair. If you would like to volunteer for Outreach service, please contact

WEBSITE

The primary purpose of this website is to provide information via the internet to anyone interested in Narcotics Anonymous. We wish to inform fellow addicts of what's going on in NA from the group level to the world level. In an effort to reach as many member addicts as possible, all available information on regional meetings, events, workshops, conventions, dances, etc is posted as it becomes available.
